Kevin and Becky Thompson decided to look for an established business to
buy and operate personally.  The pair had plenty of restaurant experience
and knew how to work well together.  They stumbled across Burrito Heaven
in their search and found just what they were looking for.  Kevin had a
struggle though; he was a forty one year old white male, gonna do a Mexican
burrito grill.  Turned out alright as it seems; since the two have owned the
burrito shop only a half dozen newcomers have walked in and said
suspiciously, "You don't look Mexican to me".  Kevin and Becky usually
respond nicely and invite them in making them the best burrito in Anchorage!

"The food was so good I bought the place!"   Kevin happily remarks to
customers praising their new found favorite place to eat.

Burrito Heaven has been around for many years.  When someone walks
through the door asking if the place just opened, the new owners begin
pointing out all the changes made.  Inside is different, with six more feet,
booths to sit in and a light friendly atmosphere.  The food line gets long at
lunch and would scare you away if you didn't know the new owners work
ethic.  The Mom & Pop friendliness is present along with the speed of
getting your lunch and having time to eat it too, unlike a lot of lunch fast food
places whose employees are slow and could care less that you only have
fifteen minutes to get your food.

Size does matter.  Our Loaded Burrito has gained popularity amongst many
in Anchorage due to the fact that people are getting their money's worth, it's
a good bang for your buck.  When everything is put on the Loaded Burrito it
can get in excess of a pound and a half.  A soldier in the Army was bet that
he could not eat three burritos in one sitting.  He did and got his twenty
dollars.  That bet sparked something new at Burrito Heaven, others come in
and occasionally take on the record, which is growing monthly.  We will put
a page just for these Burrito Masters for your enjoyment.
Becky and Kevin brought their kids in to assist them during lunch time the
first year of new ownership at Burrito Heaven.  Krista and Kevin Junior ran
the cash register and bused tables.  They have since gone back to school and
are achieving greatly.  These two were great with the customers.
Occasionally, a customer would try to trip them up with the transaction, but
quickly learned that they were not dealing with your ordinary eight and ten
year old.  They were handed money as a gift, just for being so cute, smart,
whatever.  People loved the kids so much that they assisted in donating to
help Krista attend Briansky Ballet Intensive in New York in 2006.  We will
have a page dedicated to whats up with these two bright youngsters for our
customers who know them.
